Lynnette Lux Bourne- Fine Art

Lynnette Lux Bourne - BIO

Lynnette has been painting for 33 years now. She began as a watercolor artist and progressed into acrylics, then oils, then mixed media, then encaustics, then dirt, rust, and plant pigments. Today she works back and forth in several mediums at once. She graduated from Santa Rosa Junior College with her AA Degree in Fine Arts/Painting with High Honors in 1996. Her art has been exhibited in California, Washington DC, and Virginia and is in collections in the United States and Europe. She has been in many art shows, had solo exhibits and won various art awards, including Best of Medium at the Sonoma County Harvest Fair.

Lynnette is fascinated with the interaction of shapes and colors, portraying what brings her joy or strong emotion, from the realistic to the abstract. She loves to experiment with different mediums and materials. She is inspired by the local landscape and world around her, painting everything from impressionistic landscapes to her abstract series to her mixed media pieces. She has always created, from her childhood of embroidering her own designs, up through early adulthood when she discovered her love of paint.

"My art making is a time of creation and meditation, where I find deep joy, serenity and peace." LB
